About Us

Community First!

Our principle beliefs are focused on the maintenance of the rights and quality of life of People Who Use Drugs and engage in Sex Work, through the promotion of bodily autonomy, cognitive liberty, social equity, and community empowerment. We believe that individuals have the right to engage their life paths at their discretion and we seek to foster an equitable social climate through the reduction of stigma, criminalization, and punitive outcomes. We acknowledge that drug use, both licit and illicit, will continue to be a part of the human experience and advocate for interventions to problematic use patterns through the promotion of public health rather than criminalization. We further acknowledge that the inherently racist War on Drugs precipitates harm through the establishment and maintenance of inequitable policies and practices that perpetuate problematic substance use patterns and stigma.
